Community Management - for Creators

Overview

Fairground is committed to keeping its community vibrant and welcoming. To help maintain a positive space for everyone, we've introduced the following tools:

• Blocking – stop a specific user from contacting or interacting with you
• Reporting – flag content or behaviour and IP infringements that violates our community guidelines
• Banning – remove a user's access to your paid community (available only to Artists, Venues, Labels and Promoters)

Community Bans (For Creators)

Creators have additional tools to manage their community, in regard to managing their True Fans area.

2. User Ban / Banning

Overview

As a creator on Fairground, you have tools to manage your community and keep it safe. This includes banning users from your True Fans and community, and unbanning them if circumstances change.

Please refer to Terms and Conditions for acceptable behaviour on Fairground.

Banning a User from Your Community

• When you ban someone, they lose access to your True Fans content and their subscription is automatically cancelled.
• The User doesn’t get notified.
• No refunds are issued.

How to Ban within the Platform

1. Navigate to the Post whose author you need to ban
2. Tap Ban User
3. Provide a reason for the ban (required)
4. Confirm the ban

How to Ban within your Settings

1. Go to Profile > Settings > Profile > Blocked Users
2. Search for the user by name
3. Provide a reason for the ban (required)
4. Confirm the ban

What Happens When You Ban Someone

1. A ban record is created against that user for your community
2. Their active True Fans subscription to you is automatically cancelled via Stripe
3. The subscription runs until the end of the current billing period, then stops
4. The banned user is prevented from resubscribing to any of your tiers

What Banning Does Not Do

• It does not refund the current billing period
• It does not affect their subscriptions to other creators
• It does not block them from the platform entirely (only a Fairground admin can do that)

Unbanning a User

1. Go to Profile > Settings > Banned Users
2. Find the user in your banned list
3. Tap Unban and optionally provide a reason
4. The user can now subscribe to your True Fans again

Unbanning does not automatically restore a cancelled subscription. The user is not notified that they have been unbanned. The user will need to resubscribe manually.
