Posts and Feed - for Creators
Posts are at the heart of the Fairground social experience.
What are Posts?
Artists, Venues, Promoters, Labels can create rich content posts to share updates, stories, and exclusive content with their followers and True Fans subscribers.
Fans can engage with posts and add their own comments within Artists, Venues, Promoters and Labels communities .
Artists, Venues, Promoters and Labels can post within their own communities as well as post in communities across the platform.
Remember to always switch to the profile you wish to post from.
Creating a Post
As an Artist, Venue, Promoter or Label, you can create a Post in the following way:
- Tap the Create button in the main navigation menu
- Fill in the post details:
- Title (required)
- Main message - You have an option to use a rich text editor that supports the creation of:
- Text with headings, bullet and numbered lists and URLs
- Select the + button to add further media or to embed items, e.g.:
- Images, media and videos
- Embedded YouTube videos
- Embedded music tracks and albums
- Embedded events
- Embed Quotes
At this stage, you will have an option to keep the post Public (and all Fans will have access) or you can make it Exclusive to True Fans subscribers.
True Fans Exclusive Posts
Make posts exclusive to your True Fans subscribers:
- Once you have created your post, you will be given an option to keep the post Public (and all Fans will have access) or to make it available to True Fans subscribers.
- Select which subscription tier(s) will be able to see the post
- Only subscribers at the selected tier will be able to view it
This is a powerful way to reward your most dedicated supporters with behind-the-scenes content, early announcements, or personal updates.
Drafts and Auto-Save
Posts auto-save as drafts every 30 seconds while you're editing. You can find your drafts in Profile > Settings > Content > View Draft Posts and pick up where you left off.
Note that Comments do not auto-save.
Your Feed
The Home feed is accessed from the main navigation menu. It has two views:
- Community - Recent posts from across the platform, sorted by creation date
- My Artists Recent Activity - Posts only from people you follow
Post Actions
Once a post is published, all Platform users can:
- React - Add emoji reactions to posts. Tap the reaction button to see who reacted
- Comment - Start or join a discussion thread under any post
- Pin - As the post owner, pin an important post to the top of your Feed
- Save to Scrapbook - Bookmark posts to your personal Scrapbook collection
Posting in Scenes and Events
Posts aren't limited to your own profile, all Fairground users can Post in Scenes as well as in Events:
- Scene Feed - If you follow or participate in a Scene, you can post directly to that Scene's feed by navigating to Join the conversation
- Event Discussion - Post in an event's discussion thread to chat with other attendees by navigating to Join the conversation within the specific Event
Managing Your Posts
View and manage all your posts from your public profile.
1. Navigate to the Community area
2. Select the Post you wish to view & manage.
3. Adjust the following:
- Edit - Update the title, content, or media of any published post
- Delete - Permanently remove a post
- Pin/Unpin - Pin one post to the top of your profile to highlight it
