True Fans - for Users

True Fans is Fairground's subscription system that lets artists offer exclusive content and build deeper connections with their most dedicated supporters.

What is True Fans?

True Fans allows you to create subscription tiers that fans pay monthly to access. In return, subscribers could be offered:

  • Exclusive posts and updates
  • Early access to new music
  • Free access to tracks marked "Free for True Fans"
  • Direct connection with you as an artist
  • ...amongst other things!

For Fans: Subscribing to True Fans

How to Subscribe

  • Visit an artist's profile
  • Tap the True Fans button or banner
  • Choose a subscription tier
  • Add a payment method if you haven't already
  • Confirm your subscription

Managing Your Subscriptions

View all your active True Fans subscriptions:

  • Go to your Profile → Settings
  • Tap True Fans
  • See all artists you're subscribed to

Updating Payment Method

  • Go to Profile → Settings
  • Tap Manage My Billing
  • Add, remove, or update your payment method

Cancelling a Subscription

  • Go to Profile → Settings
  • Tap True Fans
  • Find the subscription you want to cancel
  • Tap Cancel Subscription

When you cancel, you'll still have access until the end of your current billing period.

Billing

  • Billing cycle - Subscriptions are billed monthly
  • Payment methods - Credit/debit cards via Stripe
  • Receipts - Sent to your email after each payment

Payment Issues

If a payment fails:

  • You'll receive an email notification
  • Update your payment method in Settings
  • The subscription will retry automatically

If payment continues to fail, the subscription may be cancelled.
