Ways to Upload a video

1. From within your Settings - Navigate to your artist profile > Settings > Content > Videos > Create Video

2. From the main navigation menu - Navigate to the + Create button > Video

Uploading a Video

1. Select a video file from your device

2. Fill in the details:

• Title (required)
• Description (optional)
• Tags (optional, up to 10)
• Thumbnail (optional custom image)

3. Set visibility:

• Published - Visible to everyone
• Exclusive for True Fans - Only True Fans subscribers can watch
• Show only to True Fans - Free access for subscribers, paid for others

4. Confirm you own the rights to the content (required checkbox)

5. Tap Create Video

Video Processing

After uploading, your video goes through automatic processing:

1. Uploading - Your file is being transferred

2. Processing - The video is being transcoded into streaming-ready formats

3. Ready - Your video is live and ready to watch

You'll receive a notification when processing is complete (or if it fails). Processing typically takes a few minutes depending on the length and quality of your video.

Output Formats

Videos are automatically transcoded into:

• HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) for adaptive streaming on all devices
• MP4 for progressive playback and downloads

Watching Videos

Videos are streamed securely via CloudFront with signed URLs. Viewers can:

• Watch via adaptive streaming (quality adjusts to connection speed)
• React to videos with emoji reactions
• See reaction counts from other viewers

Access Control

• Public videos are visible to anyone on the platform
• True Fans exclusive videos require an active subscription to the artist

Note that access checks run at playback time to prevent unauthorised viewing.

Managing Your Videos

From your artist profile, you can:

• View all your uploaded videos
• Edit video details (title, description, tags, visibility)
• Delete videos
• See processing status for recent uploads
